my first post!
Hello blog world! My name is Carrie Guggenmos and I am a self-taught freelance photographer. I am from California and am currently studying experimental psychology in Kentucky. While grad school takes up the majority of my time, I bring my digi with me everywhere and can spend hours on end playing with my photos. I do a lot of work for hire, however most of what I post is done either for fun or for the learning experience. I decided to start up a blog to post my photos with more detail and creativity than my other sites would allow. I will probably start with entries of back content that I have :] Praise, constructive comments and blog advice are always welcome!

Yay blog! I've been meaning to start one up, too. I expect you'll find this a much more rewarding medium to post your photos.
In terms of layout, I think it looks nice, but your banner up top isn't centered. If you can't change its position on the layout, you might be able to add an empty border to the left to shift it over. Just my two cents' worth of style advice :)
